If you want to put on a set of .010-.046 strings, you'll have to re-set up your tremolo. So if you want to use your Stratocaster as God himself, Leo Fender intended, try performing the setup demonstrated by the kind Italian fellow in that video and it should increase the performance of your tremolo dramatically.
I don't use the trem arm and so graduated to either blocking or decking the tremolo arm to simplify the tuning of the guitar. After all these years I guess I should have known better but I assumed that apart from a decked trem allowing use of the arm in a downward direction there would be no difference in tone between decked and blocked.
